FIELD HOCKEY: INDIA’s NATIONAL SPORT
- Hockey is the national game of INDIA. The game is played all over the country in all the state. INDIA was the world champion in hockey for many years. Hockey has now became popular in many countries like PAKISTAN, GERMANY, ENGLAND, and AUSTRALIA played the game very well. There is the keep competition at the international level.Hockey is a fast game. Player can be seen running the field all through when the game is in progress. Every minute there is a more, which may change the chance in the game. Hence every one is alert although. The goalkeeper, the center forward, the right and tell back are important in the game. It is a team work that lead to success.DHYAAN CHAND was a INDIA hockey player who is known as WIZARD OF HOCKEY.
World History of Field Hockey from year 1800s_2021 
Historical recorded show that a crude format the game was played in Egypt 4,000 year ago and in Ethiopia around 1000BC while an ancient form of the game was also play in Iran in around 2,000BC
1:1800’s – A game hockey was invented.
2:1853- Hockey popularity increase d with that of other team game.
3:1874- Rule were made fir hockey game.
4: 1875- A hockey association was formed.
5:1895- First international competition ( Ireland vs Wale)
6:1894- Irish Ladies Hockey Union was formed.
7:1908- Hockey first appeared at the Olympic Game.
8:1924- The International Hockey Federation ( FIH) was founded in Paris.
9:1927-Formation of the International Federation of Women Hockey Association (IFWHA).
10:1970- The development of FIH.
11:1974- The FIH introduced competitive tournament.
12:1980- Introduction of Women Hockey to the Olympic Games.
13:1990- The introduced to synthetic grass on the field.
14:2020/2021- Field Hockey Summer Olympics.
The Rules of Hockey (Field Hockey) 
The field Hockey more commonly knows as just Hockey is a game play with two team of 16 with 11 player talking to field sending one time they consist of one- goalkeeper, three defender, four midfielder and three forward.
The object of the game is for team to score more goals than the opposite team to score a goals. A player must use that Hockey stick and shoot the ball into the goal. The bomb was completely crossed the line for the goals.
Account the field is 100 yard long by 60 yards wide and there are lines at the half way paint under 23 meters. Goals are 12 feet wide and 7 feet high and surrounded the goals are the shooting circle which form a 15 meters radius around the goals.
The winner of the coin toss start s the game. Once a team has possession of the ball, they will try and move the ball towards the opposing goalkeeper and try and score. Player can pass the ball direct ly between teammate lift the ball so long. The ball by running and controlling the ball with the flat side of the stick . A field hockey stick has a flat side and a round side and players only allowed top the touch side ball with the flat side of the stick , should player touch the ball with wrong side of stick, thr other team will be awarded possession of the ball.
The game is played in two – thirty five minutes halves for a combined playing time of 70 minutes. High score at the end of time which team is win. If the game is tied at end of tine, a Draw can be declared or if it’s a knock out competition extra time and penalty shootout can be used to determine the winner.

India Hockey Team creats history by winning Bronze Medal after 41 year : Tokyo Olympics 2021
India has ended it 41- years medal drought in hockey at the Olympics. The Indian men’s side led by Manpreet Singh won the Bronze medal on 5 August 2021 (Thursday) at the Tokyo Olympics as the Beat Germany in a closely fight 5- 4 match at the Oi Hockey Stadium in Tokyo.
